Day 3

Image
Day 3 Today group 4 took on the mammoth challenge of Skiddaw and with a bit of encouragement at the start we made it! The highlight (apart from getting to the top) was   'tasting' the cloud and experiencing what it was like to be in one. Group 3 took on the challenge of Cat Bells and they all completed that with smiles on their faces. Group 5 climbed up to the Death Swing, Mr Holt enjoyed it as well as the others. They also built a fire, which was throughly enjoyed. Tomorrow more activities are planned and the weather forecast is outstanding again!

Day 2

Day 2 Hello We have had an absolutely fantastic day! Everyone has challenged themselves with a lot of new activities. My group undertook the death swing (challenge of heights and determination) and gorge walking. Mrs Norton’s group orienteered around the site and then took to the lake to canoe. Mr Holt’s group went out on top the hills. Every instructor has sung the praises of our Year 5s on their enthusiasm and their determination. The wifi is playing up and I’ve tried to send photos but they just will not go through. Thanks

Day 1

Day 1 Getting here was an excitement because the mini bus had its first long trip , it was luxury for those who travelled! On the first day, some of us went to Latrigg in a mini bus and hiked up there (there was some amazing views) we also learnt how Derwent water was formed and how the hills surrounding it. This evening some went for a walk with the tutors and others went out to play games. We can't wait until tomorrow!
